Center for Adult and Veteran Services

The Center for Adult and Veteran Services is dedicated to enhancing the experience of the non-traditional student both in and out of the classroom. Services are geared towards providing a comprehensive and high impact student experience through support, programming, and an assurance of, and adherence to, the highest standards of federal compliance.

We understand that without the information and assistance you need, going to college as an adult or veteran can be difficult. The Center for Adult and Veteran Services provides necessary tools to help you reach the highest success in your adult education. Named as a top military-friendly school for the tenth year in a row, know that our primary mission is to help you navigate the many adult and veteran services, resources, and benefits that are available to you at Kent State University.

Our hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Tuesdays until 7pm.

The CAVS office now has tutoring available to veterans and servicemembers in the following subjects: Math through Intuituve Calculus, including ALEKS math modules, Microeconomics, and Microsoft Excel

A student veteran is available to tutor on a drop-in appointment basis in the CAVS office at these times:

Mondays 8:30am-12:30pm. Wednesdays 8:30am-1:30pm. Fridays 9am-1pm. Other times available by appointment.

Tutoring is free of charge to any veteran, servicemember, or dependent who needs assistance. Contact with questions.
